Getting to know Jaron Smith

If life has been feeling overwhelming or you’ve been trying to manage everything on your own, having a space to slow down, feel heard, and work through what you’re experiencing can make a difference. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and bipolar disorder, helping them find effective treatments and practical strategies that fit their everyday lives. Whether your goal is to better understand yourself, reduce symptoms, or build greater emotional stability, we’ll work together to find an approach that feels right for you. I offer both therapy and medication management in one place, making it easier to receive consistent, coordinated care. By combining these services, I can provide a more individualized approach that considers your needs as a whole and helps you work toward meaningful, lasting progress. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based care. With eight years of experience as an ICU nurse, I bring a calm, supportive presence and an appreciation for the connection between mental and physical health. My clinical training at La Salle University informs my practice, but I believe the foundation of effective care is a trusting relationship where you feel comfortable being yourself and working toward your goals. Seeking support is a meaningful step, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before getting started. If you’re looking for care that is thoughtful, practical, and tailored to your individual needs, I’m here to help you navigate the process at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to help you feel more supported, confident, and empowered in managing your mental health. When we work together, I strive to create a calm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and know that you’re being heard. I provide both therapy and medication management in one place, helping make your care more convenient, connected, and consistent. This combined approach allows us to work toward your goals together, evaluate your progress, and adapt your treatment as your needs change. What you can expect when working with me: A collaborative approach: Your needs and goals guide our work together. We’ll develop a personalized plan, discuss your progress, and make adjustments along the way to ensure your care continues to meet your needs. A genuine connection: I believe effective care starts with trust, understanding, and open communication. By combining evidence-based treatment with a down-to-earth approach, we’ll focus on both managing symptoms and building a foundation for lasting well-being. Practical, meaningful support: Our work will focus on realistic strategies you can incorporate into your daily life. I want you to feel informed, involved, and comfortable asking questions throughout your treatment, with an approach that respects your experiences and individual needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Initial evaluation (60 minutes): Our first visit is an opportunity to get to know you, understand your history and current concerns, and discuss what you hope to achieve through treatment. We’ll take a thoughtful, conversational approach, giving you the time and space to share your experiences in a comfortable, supportive environment. A personalized treatment plan: Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan based on your individual needs, preferences, and goals. By offering both therapy and medication management, I can provide a more coordinated approach to care, helping ensure that your treatment remains consistent and aligned with your progress. Follow-up visits (20–30 minutes): Follow-up sessions give us time to review your progress, discuss any challenges, and determine whether adjustments to your treatment may be helpful. We’ll continue building on what’s working while adapting your care as your needs evolve. My approach I believe effective mental health care involves understanding the whole person, not just the symptoms they’re experiencing. We’ll explore how your mental health affects your daily routines, relationships, work, and overall quality of life. My goal is to help you find practical ways to manage challenges, develop lasting coping strategies, and move toward a greater sense of balance and well-being. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more like yourself and better equipped to navigate everyday life.
