About Dr. Jasmine Mitchell
Dr. Jasmine Mitchell earned her undergraduate degree in biology with a public health emphasis from the University of California Irvine, her master's degree in microbiology and molecular genetics at Loma Linda School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California, and her medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed a residency in family medicine at McGovern Medical School and a postdoctoral research fellowship at the UTMB Center for Addiction Research.
Dr. Mitchell, who has been in practice since 2019, is a board-eligible family medicine physician who treats patients of all ages. She is certified in intrauterine device (IUD) and etonogestrel implantation, and has advanced training in dermatology procedures and steroid injections.
Her primary clinical interests are diabetes, weight management, in-office procedures, including cyst removal, joint injections and other therapeutic treatments. Her approach to care centers on listening to a patient’s concerns and respecting the person’s decisions as she develops a treatment plan. She wants her patients to feel that she cares about them, listens to them and gives them the best treatment possible.
Dr. Mitchell values forming lifelong relationships with patients, gaining their trust and working together as a team. She gains her greatest satisfaction in developing those relationships with patients beginning in childhood and continuing as they progress into adulthood.

Made an appt for the next day after noticing symptoms. Girls at the front desk were so welcoming, as well as the doctor and nurse. Even the other pts there were nice, that’s how you really know they feel good about this office too.

I had to get stitches out from a past ER visit. Dr Jasmine handled it well, she was very reassuring while taking my stitches out, and kept asking if I was okay or felt any pain. The stitches came out smoothly with minimal pain.

She is honestly a blessing. She is so kind and never rushes through our appointment. She is very understanding and has very good patient care. You are in at the time you are scheduled, everyone at the front is very nice and helpful.

Dr. Mitchell was so nice as were all of the staff in the office. The check in process was completely efficient and there was no wait at all. They had a lab right in the office, and the technician was knowledgeable and absolutely lovely (first name started with a J, I don’t want to put her name on here). I was so happy with my experience and I will not have to dread going to the doctor when I am sick anymore!

Firstly, via zocdoc, was told could do physical and have other convo with Dr along with physical but copay would be for normal visit, no problem thats understandable. Wasn't the case as was told it could only be one or the other.
Second: Dr appearance was like a nurse that just worked 24hrs. Not what expecting and nothing like headshots, to the point I wondered if it was the same Dr.
The final part for me was when I asked about treatment for a certain issue and was told there was only a couple options, and only after asking multiple times was the medicine I already knew about discussed. And summarily dismissed for a reason that wasn't made clear. Will probably seek pcp establish with other Dr unfortunately starting over.
