About Dr. Jay Brooker
Dr. Brooker is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who treats all types of orthopedic disorders. His practice special interests include joint replacement, arthroscopy, and fracture care as well as shoulder and hand conditions.
After graduating from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with Great Distinction, Dr. Brooker received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts. He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago and joined Midland Orthopedic Associates in 2001.
Dr. Brooker is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He enjoys spending time with his wife and five children and is passionate about baseball and swimming.

Dr. Brooker is very helpful when explaining your orthopedic issues. He is direct when letting you know what to do to alleviate or help promote healing or next steps. He is not the type of doctor to jump on the latest orthopedic fad. He knows what will or will not help the individual patient.

After describing to him what my concerns were, him and his staff immediately ordered x-ray and after further review he told me what to do and what medications i needed and to see him in three weeks for an update to my problem.
