About Dr. Jay Panchal
Dr. Panchal received his Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation and a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the North American Spine Society, and the Spine Intervention Society. Dr. Panchal is board eligible in physical medicine and rehabilitation. In addition to English, he is fluent in Gujarati.
His goal as a physiatrist is to improve a patient's function and help them safely return to activities they love, whether competing in sports or simply being more active. He listens carefully to his patients to determine the best non-surgical treatment plan to enhance their quality of life. His clinical interests include back and neck pain, musculoskeletal injuries, joint disease, interventional pain management, and sports medicine. He has expertise in fluoroscopic spinal injections, musculoskeletal ultrasound, platelet-rich plasma injections, and joint, bursa, and soft tissue injections.

A bit of miscommunication with scheduling the right doctor/specialist, but otherwise very smooth visit, seen quickly by the staff, and felt very comfortable with doctor Panchal. He was thorough, listened, explained next steps well, and was technically saavy.
