Jeannie earned her Bachelor of Arts at UC Irvine and completed her Physician Assistant training at UC Davis in 2001. She has 20 years of experience managing complex medical conditions. 10 years ago, she began working in dermatology and developed expertise in cosmetic dermatology. She has worked for years at various practices in the East Bay.
Jeannie has an extensive background in cosmetic procedures, including a variety of filler treatments and lasers.
Her skill set includes, but is not limited to:
Subtle and natural lip filler treatment.
Fillers to restore volume under the eyes.
Fraxel Dual laser treatment for facial fine lines and pigmentation.
TCA Cross, subcision and Fraxel laser treatment for acne scarring.
Kybella for double chin.
Pan facial correction, essentially a non-surgical facelift with a variety of fillers and Botox.
She also performs thorough skin cancer & mole checks, manages medical dermatology and performs dermatology surgery.
**NEW PATIENTS: While booking an appointment via Zocdoc is free, there is a fee associated with actual consultation. This may be submitted to insurance if our office is in network. For cosmetic consultations, the fee is applied to offset the cost of procedures done at a later date.

Jeannie has a stellar bedside manner. Had a delicate skin issue that she was able to take care of - same day as appointment, answering all my questions, and not making me feel rushed.
I'm averse to pain so was glad she took extra care to put me at ease with numbing the area including offering a simple stress managing device during the process. She worked quickly and precisely.
I had read up on her as even though I had been to the clinic years ago, this would be my first visit with her. The area that needed attention was right at the corner of my right eye so I needed to feel like I could trust the person handling it. Well, prior reviews were positive which put me at ease. The skin area is healing well.
Would definitely recommend Dr. Jeannie any day especially to others who might be skirmish about any invasive skin treatments. Booking is a breeze, and I was seen earlier than another office I had checked in with while exploring.

The office/scheduling seems pretty on top of things, the staff I talked to were nice/helpful. I waited about 15 mins after my scheduled appointment time to be seen.
PA Jhu was straightfoward and clear in communication, answered my questions well. She was also honest that insurance might not cover my procedure, but she and the staff checked ins details and are trying to put it through. They gave me straightforward info on self-pay cost. I really appreciated the honesty instead of how doctors like to say "insurance will probably cover this". She explained the process and potential negative outcomes and got clear informed consent. I would return to this practice.

Ms Jhu, the PA is competent and knowledgeable. She inspires confidence in what she does and explains procedures in detail and answers questions. She takes her time with you and you don’t feel like she wants to rush you along. I would definitely return for other procedures and would highly recommend her to my friends.

I love love love Jeannie Jhu. She is the best and so good with people. I pay out of pocket to go to her for all of my services but see her regularly for my Botox treatment. She is very gentle and I have never needed the numbing cream because of her ability to make it near painless. I have always been happy with the results. Highly recommend.

Jeannie and the rest of the staff were absolutely lovely. Was such a quick but efficient visit. She listened to my concerns and offered solutions and advice on making sure I wasn't being overcharged by the pharmacy for medications. Absolutely lovely experience start to finish so if you need a dermatologist I would highly recommend Jeannie!
