About Jennifer Kallio
Jennifer hails from St. Petersburg, Florida, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Human Nutrition, specializing in Dietetics, from the University of Florida. She completed her dietician internship at the New York Institute of Technology – Long Island Campus. Pursuing further education, Jennifer received a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master of Medical Science from Nova Southeastern University.
With almost 20 years of experience in dermatology, Jennifer provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages. Her expertise encompasses acne treatment, skin screenings, mole evaluations, and the management of skin conditions such as skin cancer, psoriasis, eczema, and vitiligo. She is skilled in surgical techniques, including assisting in MOHS surgery and performing biopsies, skin cancer, and cyst removal.
In addition to general dermatology, Jennifer specializes in cosmetic procedures, addressing concerns like sunspots, melasma, hair loss, and anti-aging treatments. She is proficient in cosmetic injectables, including toxins and fillers.
A Society of Dermatology Physician Associates (SDPA) Diplomate, Jennifer serves as the SDPA Director-at-Large and past Co-chair for the SDPA CME Committee. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and a member of the Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants (VAPA).
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Jennifer enjoys volunteering on medical missions worldwide and with other organizations. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, exploring restaurants, going to shows, and listening to live music with her husband and mini dachshund, Chloe.
