About Dr. Jianni Wu
Jianni (Jenny) Wu, MD is a board-certified dermatologist at Spring Street Dermatology, offering expert medical and cosmetic care. She graduated with distinction from Duke University and earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and her dermatology residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she was selected to be Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Wu has published extensively in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, including JAMA Dermatology, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and has received multiple research awards. Her work has a special focus on atopic dermatitis, keloids, and other inflammatory skin conditions. Dr. Wu had excellent bedside manner and addressed all of my concerns and questions, and she took the time to perform a very thorough skin examination which I found to be refreshing and reassuring (as other providers often lazily skimmed in my experience on past screenings). I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a dermatologist for annual skin checks.

Dr. Wu was nice, but she seemed very inexperienced with treating patients. For spots that aren’t obviously acne, she just took a quick glance and brushed off my main concern by falsely addressing it as an acne-related issue; I had to delve deeper into it and further explain for her to actually take a closer look - even then, she mentioned a few conditions without a conclusive diagnosis on my main concern. I went in with a lot of expectations during a busy week but was disappointed with the appointment.
