She is great! I’ve been to many doctors and none have been able to diagnose me while Dr. Desai took all of one day to figure out what was wrong. She is full of knowledge and extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

Dr. Desai is an exceptional doctor. She has treated me for consistent pain in my knees and back and shoulder. After leaving her I feel a great relief and that relief lasts. Dr. Desai's bedside manor is wonderful. She takes the time to listen to your pains and then goes over a treatment plan which works !!! The office is modern and very clean. I highly recommend her and her practice.

Doctor seemed little unfocused and hurried during the session. I felt the doctor's recommendation for surgical treatment was not appropriate and went else where to a physical therapist. Was able to correct the problem with physical therapist after 3 visits and no drugs or surgery required.

This was the most unprofessional, rushed experience I've had with a doctor. She hurried through the appointment, was not thorough in any of her explanations, and she was actually texting on her phone multiple times - even while I was explaining what the problem was. During the visit, I felt disrespected and undervalued as a patient. It was absolutely appalling.

I had a good overall appointment with Dr. Desai. I think she has a good range of experience, but it's hard to tell because she is very social and spent a lot of time telling me personal anecdotes and stories about her own health.

Dr Desai misrepresented herself on ZocDoc as an in-network provider with my insurance, which I didn't find out until I was sitting in the exam room with her. I chose to go ahead with the appointment because: I had been in pain for several months; I was already there; I didn't know if I'd be charged for the appointment anyway.
The entire office had a rather helter-skelter, disorganized feel to it once you get passed the reception area. Did not give off a professional feel at all.
Dr Desai, likewise, didn't seem very well organized or professional. One of her first questions was if I was experiencing "neck pain or back pain." When it was neither, there was a reaction I can't describe, but didn't give me confidence in her ability. She used the sonogram to check for notable injury, without either warming the jelly used or warning me it would be cold. When that showed nothing, she turned me over to a Physical Therapist who was much more attentive, informative, and projected knowledge and confidence. Unfortunately, he doesn't take my insurance, either, so I will be seeking another PT elsewhere.
While Dr Desai didn't do anything /wrong/ during my appointment, there have got to be better Physiatrists/ Physical Medicine doctors in the city. I'd recommend looking for one.

Dr Desai fit me in her busy schedule as a first time patient and went out of her way to make my appt time work. She took me in right away and was the first Dr EVER that actually listened and didn't make me feel like a 5 year old. She made me laugh as well. Dr is so easy to talk to and is very knowledgeable. So happy to be her patient!

I was very impressed with her methods. She is a thoughtful physician who explores alternative therapies and homeopathy first before jumping straight to steroids and talk of surgery. She also explained everything she did in great detail and clearly is very committed to her practice and her patients. You should definitely come talk to her first before seeing a surgeon!
