About Dr. Joel Spitz

Joel Spitz, MD, is a Board Certified Dermatologist. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University and completed a fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Spitz is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology. He is the author of the dermatologic textbook *Genodermatoses*, which is included in dermatology residency training programs at universities across the United States and many countries worldwide. Dr. Spitz lectures nationally on genodermatoses and is recognized as a thought leader in the field of genetic diseases of the skin.
