Dr. John A. DeBello is the chief surgeon for New York Foot Care Services and is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery with over 27 years of experience. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). Dr. DeBello graduated cum laude from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1990 with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. He completed a two-year surgical residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn. Additionally, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from St. John's University, Queens, NY.
Dr. DeBello provides foot and ankle surgery, including reconstructive operations to correct flat feet, bone spurs, hammertoes, and other foot deformities. He is continually researching, training, and acquiring new skill sets to offer the most current and innovative tools and therapies in his primary commitment to relieving his patients' pain and suffering caused by injury or foot disease. He is a pioneer in bringing advanced techniques to his patients before they become mainstream in the podiatric community. Early in his career, Dr. DeBello recognized the importance of not only restoring function but also improving the appearance of his patients' feet by implementing the ?bikini incision? in his surgical procedures.

The office was clean, efficient, and sweet. The front desk staff was kind, and the doctor was really helpful with my questions and help about my issue-- I was unsure if I had plantar fasciitis or a bone spur and I got an x ray and we discussed my options as it came out to be a bone spur. I now have a clean plan of attack to feel better and was relieved post-visit. I really liked my doctor-- who was Dr. La Puma!

Dr. LaPuma took X-ray, gave me cortisone shot into my bunion, wrapped my foot, prescribed anti inflammatory. Highly recommend.

Very nice office appearance, and the doctor was exceptionally friendly. I was impressed to discover that this office is a hidden gem in Ridgewood, Queens. It’s a new office that is still in the process of building its staff. During my visit, the doctor was working alone, managing everything himself, but still dedicated time to his patients.

Televisit is a rip off they charge you copayments and then the provider ask chief complaint then you have to come n next week. No medication nothing gives you nothing for the pain won’t see you that same day gives you appointments for following week.

Another doctor was covering for the one I picked, but since it was my first time there, it was no biggie since I didn't know the doctor, only that the office was convenient.
The receptionist was very nice and the doctor I saw was also nice, smart, and thorough. We discussed a plan for my foot and he carried it out very professionally! Really enjoyed the visit.
