About Dr. John Erdmann

Dr. Erdmann is an experienced doctor of chiropractic with over 20 years of practice, serving Pleasant Hill, Concord, Walnut Creek, and Lafayette since 1998. He strives for excellence in patient care using modern acupuncture and chiropractic techniques and technology, while educating patients about these processes. Not every patient is comfortable with chiropractic or acupuncture, and we never make these treatments mandatory; we respect each patient’s choices. Our belief is that both optimal health and wellness are essential for a long, happy life. Dr. Erdmann holds a Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University. We specialize in Applied Kinesiology. Dr. Erdmann is board certified by ICAK and holds a BCT, a board-certified teaching credential for Applied Kinesiology. Applied Kinesiology uses neurological applications to validate chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture treatments. We examine many parameters, from range of motion and blood and saliva functional medicine tests to chiropractic tests, orthopedic assessments, posture and gait analysis, and muscle facilitation tests. We videotape and photograph posture to look for adaptive changes, scan and evaluate foot arches, and check weight-bearing ability. We also use an Acoustic Cardiograph (ACG) to assess the heart muscle. We blend tradition, proven science, and the latest treatments to provide the best alternative and holistic health care. We have created a higher standard called Professional Applied Kinesiology (PAK). As a committee member, Dr. Erdmann helped trademark this term and works to safeguard its proper use. We maintain a large research fund, continually expanding and validating the best methods.
