Today's visit was a follow-up to a foot injury diagnosed at our visit last week. Dr. J laid out four viable alternatives for treatment, organized by level of aggressiveness. He was very comfortable with my choice of "least aggressive" and provided excellent PT-type care at this follow-up appt to further reduce inflammation and lay out a long-term game plan. I'm very pleased and would recommend him to friends and family members.

I believe patients deserve to have the information needed to make good choices about their foot and ankle care. My goal is to help educate each patient and begin a relevant treatment program by working together with my patients to find the answers to their foot and ankle trouble and bring them relief.
I graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1988. In 1993 I met my future wife who is a Dentist. Together we were able to build an office which brings me much joy. I am able to see and work along side my wife every day and my children have the opportunity to visit the office frequently. I believe this adds an aura of friendliness to the office. My patients truly know that this is a family practice
I also believe in giving back to my profession and giving back to my community. As result of this commitment I volunteer at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center. In January 2013 I was appointed Assistant Clinical Professor.
As Assistant Clinical Professor at the Hospital I enjoy Medical and Surgical treatment of the patients and training the residents.

If you are a runner looking for a podiatrist who gets it, go to Dr. Jurcisin. I came in with foot pain, thinking it was a stress fracture. X-rays were done on site, and though the results were much more extensive than I thought, Dr. Jurcisin came up with a plan that would not hinder my upcoming spring training. Overall, I was very happy with the appointment, and the answers I received. He was able to follow up with me the following week regarding custom insoles and exercises I could complete to help my injury heal. I highly recommend!

I really enjoyed getting to know John on my first appointment. He was both kind and professional and got right to checking out my foot. He explained the issue with my foot and immediately gave me the information, prescription, and follow-up appointment I needed in order to address my issue. I'd highly recommend him. (Also, he's a runner like me, so we bonded over that!)

Dr. Jurcisin was fine, he took care of my problem however his front desk staff seemed distracted and unorganized. I called today for a follow up and the woman who answered had a blatant attitude. After my follow up this week, I am not sure I would return to this office based on my interaction with the staff.

A very nice doctor, I felt comfortable with him right away. I have heel spurs in each foot so we started treatment right away and I am going back in 5 days. The office personnel were also very nice and professional, and I was in and out in half an hour. Highly recommended!

Huge help to me with my achilles tendon. I had the problem for years and many people to me different ways of treating it, none of which worked. Now I feel like so much better and will resume my running within a week thanks to him. His staff is great and down to earth people.
