Dr. John Sanzone graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelors in Chemistry. At UNC he played for the Men’s Varsity Baseball team and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Phi Beta Honor Societies. He earned his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine. There he was awarded the Matsumae Award for excellence in the field of surgery and Bard Urologic Award for most promise in urologic surgery. At Bowman Gray he was also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Society. Dr. Sanzone completed the Residency Program in the Department of Urology at Yale, where he also completed his General Surgery Internship. Dr. Sanzone is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology.

DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE... They practice in the art of bait and switch. I arrived to the Doctors office after doing extensive research on which doctor to use. Instead of seeing the Doctor I was treated, and tests were ordered by a PA and the 2 minutes that I did see Dr Sanzone he did nothing but repeat what the PA said. I had a follow-up with the doctor scheduled for 2 weeks later and when I got there it was only the PA and not Dr Sanzone. If you want to be treated by a PA and not a doctor (They bill you like you see a doctor) then go see Dr. Sanzone...

I went to go see Dr. Sanzone. Before I saw him, I was seem by the PA (Staller). He was great. He explained everything thoroughly and made me at ease. After he examined me I was seen by Dr. Sanzone and he seemed like a good doctor. He followed up on what was examined by the PA. I would go back. Only downside was the receptionist. Seemed really irritated and did not want to be bothered with.

The wait was just over an hr between signing in and being placed in a waiting room. Perhaps it was poor timing or perhaps it just speaks to how busy this office is in general. Dr. Sanzone, however, was incredibly kind and professional - I highly recommend him based on bedside manners alone.
