About Dr. Johnny Mai

"I find fulfillment in helping patients feel better physically and emotionally. My goal is to support overall wellness through thoughtful, efficient medical care while treating every patient with empathy, compassion, and respect." Dr. Johnny Mai is a native Houstonian and proud Texan. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his medical degree from McGovern Medical School, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He then pursued fellowship training in Laryngology at the University of Wisconsin, where he specialized in the management of complex voice, swallowing, and airway disorders and served as faculty. Dr. Mai is dedicated to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care for disorders of the voice, airway, and swallowing and all other ENT needs.
