About Dr. Jonathan Hyde
Jonathan Hyde, MD is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Spinal Surgery. Dr. Hyde's expertise includes both open and minimally invasive surgical techniques. In addition to performing surgical interventions, he provides diagnostic and therapeutic injections for various spinal disorders as part of conservative non-operative spinal care. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Hyde earned his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Stony Brook. He completed his internship in General Surgery and his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. His first fellowship in Spinal Surgery was at the renowned Texas Back Institute, where he trained with Drs. Hochschuler, Rashbaum, Guyer, Regan, Blumenthal, Zigler, and Fulp. He was selected to represent the Texas Back Institute in a five-month traveling fellowship at the University of Nottingham, England, at the AO/ASIF-sponsored Centre for Spinal Surgery. There, he worked with the unit headed by the distinguished Mr. John Webb.

Great facilities but he only was with me for a quick 10 minutes. I would have preferred a more in depth explanation of what I was going through with my medical condition, but I guess I will make sure I get better informed next time.

Excellent. He listened to my concerns and information I gave about my back pain. He addressed the questions I asked in a way that was easily understood. He showed what I felt was a high level of competency without any sense of arrogance or condescending attitude.
