Dr. Jonathan Lauter is American Board Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. Dr. Lauter completed his Residency in General Psychiatry and Fellowship in Child Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco.

Honesty, sensitivity, intelligence and compassion -- these are the qualities exhibited by Dr. Lauter. He stands out among the many psychiatrists in New York because of the time he devotes to his patients. His is the opposite of the typical conveyer belt approach.

Dr Lauter presents as opens, warm & very approachable. Of my 30+ years of therapy, rating a scale of 1-10 (1-clean & want a second visit. 10-greatly anticipated) Dr. Lauter rates a 9.5. His manner is relaxed, attentive & very caring.
