I am a compassionate adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving individuals across Florida. My academic training includes an Associate’s degree from Miami Dade College, a Bachelor’s from South University, and both a Master’s and Doctorate in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from Florida International University.
I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, follow-up care, mental health consultations, and supportive counseling. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and other mental health concerns.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and patient-centered. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported. Each person’s story is unique, and I tailor treatment recommendations to meet your individual needs and goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?
When working with me, new clients can expect a thorough and thoughtful evaluation, followed by a clear discussion of diagnostic impressions and treatment options. I believe in a collaborative approach, where your preferences and goals guide our decisions. My style is patient-centered, calm, and conversational—I’ll explain each step, answer all questions, and ensure you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
During our first appointment, I conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to understand your symptoms, medical history, past treatments, and current goals. This helps me develop an accurate diagnostic picture and create a personalized treatment plan. Follow-up sessions focus on monitoring your response to medication, discussing any changes in symptoms, and providing supportive counseling. I practice a collaborative approach, encouraging open communication so we can adjust treatment as needed to help you feel your best.
Clients are encouraged to provide insurance details and identification verification to ensure a smooth verification process and timely confirmation of your session. Once booked, you will receive a call and/or email with follow up instructions.

Jorge is an amazing Psychiatrist, on the new-patient visit he asked the normal questions I'd expect and even explained why he was asking some of them.
When we discussed my current medications he provided the pro's and cons. Near the end of the session, we came up with a plan that involved a medication that had lesser side-effects than ones that my doctor prescribed prior (which is why I stopped taking them) who didn't even bring them up as an option! On-top of that, by the time the visit was finished the prescriptions were already sent and pending at my pharmacy (HUGE change over my PCP which was the original reason I chose to change who managed my situation/prescriptions).
Great guy, great listener/communicator and lets you ask questions about a disorder (ex. Anxiety Attack vs Panic Attack) or medication, if you have any, and has the answers with detailed explanations.
The visit and interaction gave me peace of mind that I'm in good, reliable hands.
