About Dr. Jorge Luengas

Jorge Luengas, MD, is a family medicine physician serving patients 6 and older. A graduate of the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Dr. Luengas completed his residency through the Memorial Southwest Family Medicine Practice Program. After his sister was diagnosed with cancer and experienced how scary and confusing it can be for patients and families, he set a goal that as a doctor he would be there to support and if possible, help prevent patients from developing diseases. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Luengas sees patients for a variety of primary care needs from well and sick visits, to physicals and chronic disease management. His clinical interests include preventative medicine and the treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. His main focus when treating patients is to take the time to listen and get to know them so that he can best align treatment options with what the patient also feels is best for them. In his spare time, Dr. Luengas enjoys watching sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family.
