About Dr. Josep Genebriera De Lamo

Josep Genebriera, MD, joined North Florida Dermatology Associates, P.A. in August of 2011. He was raised in Barcelona, Spain and studied at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and the University of Wales (UK) as well the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, where he was awarded his medical degree. He completed his internship at the Jefferson Health System in Philadelphia and his dermatology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Genebriera is the author of multiple scientific papers and book chapters on dermatology and has presented his research at national and international conferences. He has conducted research at Boston University and was awarded research fellowships at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN (Smith-Gibson research fellowship). Because of his interest in skin care, Dr. Genebriera has expanded his knowledge to the development of skin care products. He also specializes in general dermatology and skin cancer, cosmetic dermatology including laser treatments, injectables, non-surgical rhinoplasty and dermatologic surgical procedures. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society of Mohs Surgery and American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Genebriera is fluent in English, Catalan and Spanish.

Dr. Genebriera De Lamo and Jennifer, his assistant were very kind, professional and compassionate. I had a horrible cyst that had become worse and very painful. Dr. “G” prescribed an antibiotic, gave me generous samples of the appropriate topical medication and even a small bottle of the antibiotic so that I could take it as soon as possible. I cannot begin to thank him enough and I highly recommend Dr. G and his staff!
Waited 30 minutes for a 3 minute appointment only to say it didn't look like cancer but I could have a ridiculously expensive biopsy done if I want and the doctor left the room. I told the nurse I couldn't afford it. The nurse then told me "Well he didn't seem to worried." Waste of time and money.

Dr. Genebrera is wonderful! He is thorough, explains everything in great detail, kind, compassionate, caring. I can't say enough. This includes all of his staff. From the check in staff, the appointment staff and the nurses. We have been using Advanced Dermatology for years and have never been disappointed, in the slightest.
