Dr. Kane is east to talk to and he takes impeccable notes as we speak. There is never a need to rehash details about what we have discussed. My coping skills for anxiety have improved greatly with his help.

Dr. Joshua Kane is a board certified psychiatrist who completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University, medical school at SUNY Downstate and Psychiatry Residency at Brown. Dr. Kane also completed a five year training program in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapy at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.
Dr. Kane has worked in a variety of treatment settings including partial hospital, outpatient community mental health clinics and private practice. Dr. Kane also worked at Brown University Counseling and Psychological services providing medication management and supervision to therapists.
Dr. Kane’s extensive therapy training sets him apart as a psychiatrist, and his treatment approach reflects this knowledge. While medications play an important role in treatment, Dr. Kane believes that lasting change involves a patient working with a therapist to better understand themselves. Dr. Kane enjoys working with adults who face challenges with depression, anxiety and PTSD.

Using Talkiatry as tool to connect was a joke. I made an appointment 8 days ago and got several confirming emails. Today when I called to learn how to connect for my 2:30 appointment, I was told it was cancelled and they dont take my insurance. I looked on line and they do! Talkiatry was a waste of time and now I am back to sq 1 looking to make a new appointment. Only this time with the elimination of any doctor who participates with Talkiatry.
