Hello! I am a Psychiatric Mental-Health NP and co-author of The Psych NP Handbook. I received my doctorate from UCSF and in the last 10 years have had a wide range of psychiatric experience including inpatient; outpatient; academia; management; assertive community treatment; and treating marginalized communities (homeless; LGBTQIA+; etc.). My treatment philosophy is based on the recovery model; which focuses on working collaboratively with clients to build hope; empowerment; and resilience to reach their goals.
