More about Dr. Juan Romero Gaddi, MD
Let me introduce myself and Equal Mental Health. I am Dr. Romero-Gaddi and I graduated as a physician in 2010 in my country, Venezuela. During my training years, I became more and more interested in mental health and after working as a general physician, I came to the US and started my residency in psychiatry.
I graduated as a psychiatrist in 2019 from the University of Illinois in Peoria. During my training, I realized that our LGBTQ+ community faces challenges that put them a risk for mental health conditions, and most important, treatment is only successful if these particular issues are taking in consideration.
In 2020, I started Equal Mental Health a practice where everyone is welcome and we provide a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies to receive mental health services. A space were we firmly believe int he right to express who you are, love another and be loved in return regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Personally, I enjoy working with the Spanish-speaking and Latinx community. I work with adults in general and have a special interest in mood disorder, anxiety disorder, LGBTQ+ health and PTSD. I provide medication treatment and includes psychotherapy skills during my visits to address my patients' symptoms and concerns.
