About Dr. Julia Spears
Dr. Spears, MD is a plastic surgeon with significant teaching experience. She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In 1987, Dr. Spears completed her Bachelor of Science and graduated Summa Cum Laude at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She completed the University of Pennsylvania's Post-Baccalaureate Program in 1992. Dr. Spears finished her M.D. at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1996. She underwent general surgery training at Temple University Hospital before continuing her residency in the Section of Plastic Surgery and joined the faculty at Temple University Hospital as an assistant professor. Over the next 7 years, she became an associate professor of plastic surgery and assistant program director of the residency program. In 2007, she joined Dr. Amit Mitra in the formation of Hahnemann Center for Plastic, Cosmetic and Hand Surgery and became an assistant professor at Drexel University. Dr. Spears is an expert in her field and she brings her wealth of knowledge to every patient conversation.

My appt with Dr. Spears was very good!! I would recommend her to family and friends because of her bedside manner and knowledge in her skill. She knew exactly what I needed and gave me several options to remedy my issues along with an estimate of what the services would cost. That is very important to patients. The staff was awesome as well. They both are very approachable and extremely friendly and gave me the attention I needed. I walked out of the office with confidence, knowing that I am on my way to looking and feeling beautiful again. Thanks Dr. Spears and staff!! YOU BOTH ROCK!

I absolutely loved every single person I encountered in this office. They were all so nice and welcoming. It was my first time there, but they made me feel like I had been coming there for years. It could have been a very uncomfortable thing, as we were discussing my breast reduction, but they made me feel completely at ease.
