“I was thrilled that the place was same day and it was nice, clean, and the PA that saw me was lovely. The CNA was also nice and they both were thorough and helped to ease my concerns. The biggest issue I have is how I am in excruciating pain and they told me “Advil should be just fine.” I can’t move my arm, it’s awful and throbbing and nothing was offered. Not for pain, not a steroid, not a cream, not anything. I am laying in my hotel trying to make it through the night but I wish they would have helped make me comfortable. I wouldn’t have landed in Vegas and scheduled a same day appointment and went to the doctor first thing - out of state - of if I wasn’t completely desperate. I wouldn’t want anyone to be left in this kind of pain. That is my only complaint I guess. They were lovely and did a skin biopsy but I fear this pain will have to be with me all week and it’s frustrating for sure.”

About Justine Ipac
Justine Ipac is a board-certified Physician Assistant who attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. During her undergraduate studies, she was a leader in her university’s chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-health honors society.
Before starting Physician Assistant school, she worked for four years as a medical assistant and medical scribe. She then went on to attend the University of Nevada, Reno to earn her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and there was a sign on the door that said they were closed for lunch and they would be back by 1. The time of my appointment. I was checked-in, in a timely manner and the doctor came to my room in a timely manner. I kind of felt like it rushed because she was standing. I can’t explain it but when doctors come into a room and stand over you it doesn’t seem like they are there to listen. She was nice and allowed me to answer her questions. But ultimately she prescribed me a medication I am allergic to after I had expressed that I had been on a medication that sounded like that and was allergic to. I will probably not go back. I paid a very high co pay and did not get the treatment I was expecting.

I expressed concern about one problem but they completely focused on a problem I didn’t even come in for. They were doing everything to get me out and say well its fine you just have to deal with it- not take time to listen and plan out solutions. Will be going somewhere else in future.
