I was born in Jamaica, grew up in Toronto Canada, and I am a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine. I have practiced Medicine for 12 years within the Henry Ford Health System and am Board Certified in Internal Medicine. I have grown to become very passionate about providing the very best service in healthcare in such a rapidly changing world. I pride myself in doing this in a way that would make you feel like a part of a caring family.

When I filled in the form online at Zoc doc, I selected I come in for "annual checkup". But somehow the office didn't get that and they thought I came in for office visit. And also I think they need to replace the device for taking the temperature as it took forever to get the temperature measured. Other than that, the nurse and the front desk were friendly and nice.
The doctor did a very minimum check on me. I am not sure she is doing all the work that is really needed for the annual checkup.

My appointment was very smooth, I waited less than 5 minutes to be called back into the room. The staff was extremely professional and courteous. I felt very comfortable in the office. Dr. Karen was very attentive, answered all of my questions and I didn't feel rushed. I would definitely recommend this office.

My first appt. went well. I felt finally a great doctor that listens. I even wrote a nice review about my experience. I have a lot of health issues- joints, depressions , arthritis, and back pain. I told her I saw an Ortho and had an MRI - I told her that I was a narcotic for pain from the Ortho doc. She made a quick comment : " I DO NOT WRITE RX FOR NARCOTICS". I was immediately turned off by that- because first of all I didn't ask her for any, everyone is not a pill head and lastly I'm in severe pain - at least run some test and find out what's going on with my health! I asked for bone scan she ordered bone density test- I asked for a mammogram - staff stated that she ordered it and go to Beaumont for mammo- I got there no order in the system. I found a new Doc on Zocdoc - he is excellent. Spent a lot of time going over my history, ordered tests, blood work and based of my exam - he realized immediately that I needed a narcotic and over the counter meds was not helping. I was in tears every day from pain - even sucide thoughts. Now my husband, and son goes there too! My husband dislike doctors and hospitals- but loves him. He DX my husband with a condition that may have killed him if went untreated. He discovered it the first visit. THANK THE LORD!! I thank God above for DR. Ahad!!
