What should a new client know about working with you?
When I work with you I look first to see where you are and what you are ready to work on. For those who are ready to lean in and really "clean out" old trauma, I will use EMDR to clear that out and make the rest of the journey that much easier as you are not struggling against the long-term effects of old events.
If you are not ready to "go there" or you have another focus, we will create a plan to help you accomplish what you came to do. I meet you where you are.
I think and work very holistically and will recommend the best supplements I know and also work with various frequency therapist.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I start by getting an overall picture of why you are seeking therapy. What are the goals you are looking to meet and then create a plan with you to meet those goals ASAP.
With most of my clients I will use EMDR to clear out issues that are holding you back in your life and causing disruption in relationships and social situations and in your career. By "cleaning that out" it makes it much easier to do the rest of the work.
I teach my clients to trust themselves and listen to their own inner wisdom. Together we explore relationships, jobs, social circles, and mindset to discover how you can find peace in living your life on your terms so it is a life you enjoy living.

I am a HEADWAY Therapist. In order to keep your first appointment you MUST complete your profile on Headway when you schedule your first appointment.
If this has not been completed, your first appointment will be cancelled because ZocDoc does not do the insurance billing, hence the reason for getting set up in Headway.
You need to open emails from Headway to;
1) verify your email address,
2) complete intake paperwork,
3) add your insurance info so Headway can verify your insurance.
4) add your payment method to cover your co-pay.
Once this is done, you are ready for your first session.
I am also in network with TriCare
I cannot bill Medicare or Medicaid.

My visit was exactly at my scheduled appointment time .
From the moment I walked in the door , I felt like I was in a safe and caring space .
Karin is really quite incredible as a Practitioner and as a person .
Her energy radiates kindness and caring , but also a capable professional .
That was really important to me .
I found Karin to be very attentive and extremely intuitive weaving a wholistic approach mind, body and spirt into each visit .
I found that the Pandemic had left me grieving not only people but also a way of life , stuck and not knowing how to move forward .
I immediately felt that I was in a safe space with Karin and could be completely open without judgement . Karin helped me to process and untangle all the confusion and sadness and grief I was trying to process .

I found Karin several years ago after we had discovered my husband suffered from Traumatic Brain Injury. I was looking for someone who would help me to develop resolutions and build coping skills without recommending that I divorce. Karin did just that. She helped me to learn ways to cope and also ways to help my husband have a better quality of life. My husband passed away 3 years ago and I can say that with her help and guidance my marriage flourished during the time we had. I also was better equipped to deal with and process the emotions after his death.
I can’t thank this woman enough for the light she has brought to my life.

After being in counseling since I was 7 years old, it wasn't until I started working with Karin that I actually experience healing and freedom, for the first time in my life.
