“Kati was a random internet find. And I’m so happy the digital fates brought me her way. She brought energy, humor, intelligence and compassion to the visit and we were able to work through a problem that has been alluding me for years with other providers on the first visit. I felt comfortable and well taken care of immediately. 1000 stars. Would recommend to my friends and hide from my enemies. ”

Getting to know Kati Wijdenes

Hi, I'm Kati, and welcome to the Madix Clinic, my own little slice of telepsychiatry heaven. I'm really glad you're here! A bit about me: I'm a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with almost a decade's worth of experience in mental health and medication management. Born and raised in Arizona with roots going back generations, I'm a proud alumna of Arizona State (Go Wildcats!) and the University of Arizona, where I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (Go Sun Devils!). Wait… that was wrong… reverse that. I also love all things outdoors, and I'm a US Air Force veteran. If you're anything like me, you can relate to your thoughts being unpredictable at times and your brain getting a bit squirrely (picture in your mind a squirrel getting distracted and zipping seemingly everywhere). Here you'll find a relaxed and laid-back space where you can be yourself, with all the good, the bad, and the nutty. We'll work together to get you where you want to be. I know firsthand that mental health care can feel difficult and intimidating, but it doesn't have to!

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is that you receive seriously good care and always feel seen, understood, and supported. I'm easy going and care deeply about what you're experiencing, and the challenges you've faced. You can expect humor, a little quirkiness, and a comfortable, inviting approach.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sessions are collaborative and focused on both your immediate needs, and long-term health. I offer 30 min follow-up appointments because I want to really get to know you, and give you the individualized attention you deserve.
