What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe effective mental health care goes beyond simply treating symptoms. My approach focuses on helping you gain insight into what may be contributing to your struggles while identifying realistic, sustainable strategies for improvement. I encourage active participation in treatment and work to ensure you feel informed, empowered, and comfortable discussing both concerns and successes throughout the process. My goal is to help you build a foundation for long-term emotional wellness and resilience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During an initial evaluation, I conduct a comprehensive assessment to gain a thorough understanding of your concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, life circumstances, and treatment goals. This process helps ensure an accurate diagnosis and allows us to develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your needs and preferences. Follow-up sessions focus on your progress, symptom management, and any challenges that may have arisen since our last visit. In addition to medication management when appropriate, I incorporate supportive psychotherapy, psychoeducation, problem-solving, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help you better understand your experiences and develop practical coping strategies. My goal is to provide care that supports both immediate symptom relief and long-term emotional wellness.
