Dr. King earned his Doctor of Medicine from Rush University and completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Rush University Medical Center. He also completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences. His medical journey was inspired by a middle school friend's struggle with leukemia, and in tribute, he had his chest tattooed with the words ?Hope & Faith.? After shadowing a radiation oncologist during medical school, Dr. King fell in love with the specialty. He joined City of Hope because he saw an opportunity to deliver a higher level of care in Chicago and loves the ability to prioritize speed to care-reducing patients' anxiety by preventing them from living in limbo during a difficult time in their lives.
