About Dr. Khosrow Seyed-Makki
Dr. K.S. Makki has been providing his Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) expertise, specializing in medical and surgical care for all disorders related to the ear, nose, and throat in the DC Metro area since 1985. Among his peers, Dr. Makki is viewed as a compassionate, knowledgeable, and experienced surgeon. For more than 25 years, he has prided himself on being available to his patients by holding appointment hours six days a week-Monday through Saturday-to ensure his patients don't have to wait weeks for an appointment.
Dr. Makki earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Georgetown University. He also received surgical training at Washington Hospital Center and Prince George's Hospital Center. In 1985, he completed his Ear, Nose, and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery, and medical training at Georgetown University. Immediately thereafter, Dr. Makki became an Attending Surgeon at the Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Washington Hospital Center. In just four years, he was selected as a Senior Attending Surgeon. Since 1989, he has overseen the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic at the hospital while supervising ENT medical residents. He is currently (2013-present) the Vice Chairman of the ENT department at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

I didn't mind the wait because Dr.Makki is excellent at his job. He took care of my mom back in 2014 after she had an ear emergency. So fast forward four years later, with my ear emergency I had no doubt about going to see Dr. Makki. He and his staff treated me with respect and offered me a beverage while I waited to be seen. I left, Dr.Makki's office today satisfied with my level of care. I highly recommend him for your Ear,Nose, and Throat care, he's very accommodating.

My wife had a fish bone in her throat. It was on weekend. Many urgent care centers didn't want to take the responsibility for taking care of it, and they all wanted us to visit the ER. However, after calling Dr. Khosrow Makki, he wanted to give a try that may save us hours and money in the ER. He was very professional and he pulled out the fish bone quickly. My wife felt very comfortable after the procedure. We want to give 5 stars to Dr. Khosrow Makki!
