Dr Khurram Mirza is a highly experienced physician with over 10 years of practice in both hospital and primary care medicine. He cares for and treats multiple medical issues in his patients and having been born in South Florida is proud to be able to give back to the same community he was raised in. Using all the resources at his disposal, he believes highly in prevention of medical issues before they happen as well as understanding the importance of the mind working with the body so that his patients can be the best versions of themselves. He is an empathetic health care provider known for his excellent bedside manner as he prioritizes his patient’s personal experience.
Dr Mirza completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center where he was highly involved in patient care and management but also was the house staff president for physician wellbeing. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and licensed to practice in Florida. He is certified in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support and maintains these certifications diligently. Prior to that he has completed a master’s in biomedical sciences in order to better understand the human body and its functions on a molecular level. He is a strong believer in technology improving medical care and sees his patients using telemedicine services as well in order to create better communication and easier access to care for his patients. During his career he has been awarded the Schumacher Clinical Partners Core Values Recognition Award for demonstrating agility, the Sound Physicians Core Value Recognition Award for striving to exceed the expectations of patients and medical community, and an honorable mention in Sound Physicians for going above and beyond in patient care. He is involved in the American College of Physician and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
