“I was hesitant about dr Thornton before going after reading some bad reviews but now I see they were totally unfounded. She was very professional but also warm and kind. She took the time to explain all options based on my medical history, not trying to push any treatment on us. I’m very happy with my first visit and we will move ahead with IVF in the upcoming months. Would absolutely recommend.”

Kimberley Thornton, MD, is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at RMA of New York and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Florida State University and completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. Dr. Thornton also completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the same institution. Deeply committed to research, she has authored several scientific abstracts and articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented her work at national conferences. I waited maybe 5 mins before seeing the doctor. Dr. Thorton listened carefully to my needs and was patience with my concerns. She provide clear invasive treatment options and non-invasive options. I walked away with a lot of information.

I agree with the review indicating that RMA only cares about the quantity of patients and not the quality of their care. This individual physician is fine, but you won't see her much throughout your treatment. The front office staff is largely useless and made things take longer than needed after monitoring. I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea to hire mostly college girls for the front desk of a fertility clinic, but their lack of experience and immaturity didn't help things. The billing staff is unresponsive and not proactive related to insurance approvals. Communication between staff members and again to patients is lacking. The patient care coordinator is the only one who would get 5 stars. I'm starting treatment at a different practice over the summer and I recommend that others interview a few places before commiting.

Very kind and helpful. Dr. Thornton was able to run a couple tests at our first appointment, no waiting. She also set us up to meet a financial counselor to give us a rundown. A great experience under stressful circumstances.

It was pretty clear that RMA is only interested in their numbers - there was no follow up, no gentle bedside manner. After going to see the folks at Cornell Weiss this place pales in comparison - it is light night an day. They treated us like family over at Cornell, while at RMA they wanted to talk to us about "packages" and with their "financial coordinator". It was SUCH a turnoff....
