What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe mental health care should feel safe, supportive, and personal. When we work together, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and in control of your journey. Whether we’re talking about medication, therapy, or both, I want to make sure you feel comfortable and confident in your care. My therapy style is gentle, thoughtful, and focused on understanding you as a whole person. I like to explore how past experiences and feelings shape the way you think and act today. Sometimes, we’ll work on changing unhelpful thoughts or habits, and other times, we’ll take time to talk through emotions and life challenges. I believe healing takes time, and we will go at a pace that feels right for you. Some days, you may feel ready to dive deep, and other days, you may just need a space to process your thoughts. Both are okay. My goal is to help you feel stronger, more aware, and better able to handle life’s ups and downs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will be an initial evaluation, where I’ll ask about your mental health history, current concerns, and goals. We’ll discuss your mood, sleep, stress, and any past experiences that may be affecting how you feel today. If medication is an option, I’ll explain how it works, potential benefits, and side effects. If you’re interested in therapy, we’ll talk about what that process might look like for you. This session is also a time for you to ask questions and share anything important. What a Typical Session Looks Like Each session is tailored to your needs: • For Medication Management (30 minutes): We’ll check in on how you’re feeling, adjust medications if needed, and discuss overall well-being. Medication is not a one-size-fits-all approach, so we’ll work together to find what works best for you. • For Therapy (50 minutes): My therapy approach is insight-oriented, supportive, and collaborative. We might explore how past experiences shape your present struggles, work on coping skills, or discuss challenges in a way that helps you gain clarity and confidence. • A Combination of Both: If you benefit from both medication and therapy, we’ll balance treatment to address both biological and emotional needs. My Approach I believe mental health care should be personalized, compassionate, and holistic. Medication can be helpful, but it’s just one tool. My therapy style is warm, non-judgmental, and focused on deeper understanding and long-term healing. Whether you need short-term support or ongoing care, my goal is to help you feel more in control, develop lasting coping skills, and build a life that aligns with your values.

Initial session: $300 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $150 for 30 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay

More information on payments and coverage

I bill through Alma, GrowTherapy, and Headway, making the insurance and payment process more convenient for patients. I accept Aetna and Cigna in Washington, Texas, Idaho, Oregon, and Arizona. Additionally: • In Texas, I also accept Carelon, Quest Behavioral Health, and Optum. • In Washington, I also accept Quest Behavioral Health, Regence BlueShield of Washington, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. For those paying out-of-pocket, my fees are: • Initial Psychiatric Evaluation (60 minutes): $300 • Follow-Up Medication Management (30 minutes): $150 • Psychotherapy (50 minutes): $150 I also offer a sliding scale for those facing financial hardship. This is based on good-faith self-reporting and is reassessed periodically to ensure continued need. Payment Processing Payments are processed securely through Alma, GrowTherapy, or Headway, depending on your insurance provider or payment preference. All payments are due at the time of service. I accept credit and debit cards, but I do not accept HSA/FSA cards. If you miss or cancel an appointment late, the full session fee will be charged unless there is a documented emergency or unforeseen circumstance, at my discretion. For patients with out-of-network insurance, I can provide a superbill upon request, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Since out-of-network coverage varies, I recommend checking with your provider about their policies.
