What should a new client know about working with you?

Seeking help for your mental health is an important step, and my goal is to make the process feel supportive, collaborative, and respectful. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care while creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly about what you’re experiencing. I believe that the most effective treatment happens when clients feel heard and involved in their care. I take time to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and medications in clear and understandable terms so you can make informed decisions about your care. My approach focuses not only on symptom relief, but also on helping you build long-term strategies that support your overall mental well-being. This may include lifestyle considerations, stress management strategies, and collaboration with therapists or other healthcare providers when appropriate. Whether you are seeking help for anxiety, depression, mood changes, attention difficulties, or other mental health concerns, my goal is to provide thoughtful care that helps you move toward greater stability and improved quality of life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. During the first appointment, we will discuss your current concerns, mental health history, medical history, medications, lifestyle factors, and personal goals. This helps me gain a full picture of what you’re experiencing. Based on this assessment, we will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. This may include medication management, recommendations for therapy, behavioral strategies, or coordination with other healthcare providers when appropriate. Follow-up appointments allow us to monitor your progress, talk about how you’re feeling, and adjust your treatment plan as needed. Mental health care is an ongoing and collaborative process, and we will regularly revisit your goals to ensure your treatment continues to support your needs. Throughout the process, I encourage open communication and questions so that you feel informed, comfortable, and actively involved in your care.
