Dr. Kristin Z. Haushalter is a Board Certified Dermatologist at Miami Dermatology and Laser Institute (MDLI). She joins MDLI from Richmond, Virginia, practicing medical dermatology with a special interest with families and children.
Dr. Haushalter completed her undergraduate degree at Birmingham Southern College, and then obtained her medical degree as well as residency from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She then practiced dermatology in Indiana for a couple of years before moving to Richmond, VA. Along with her husband and two sons, Dr.Haushalter is excited to call South Florida their new home.
She is very confident in treating all diseases of skin, hair, and nails. She not only thrives on treating the most common conditions, but looks forward to the challenging cases which have run out of treatment options, need a diagnosis, or require complicated therapies.

Well this was the first time I found and scheduled an appointment with a doctor online and being the medical scary cat that I am it was quite hard to do. I have not been to a dermatologist since my last one retired 20 years ago. I had a mole/growth that was screaming help me, help me so I made an appointment through zoc doc online and filled out all required information online before the appointment the next morning. Walked into the office and they needed a signature and a emailed copy of the insurance card and that was it.
The P.A. took me into the room and went over the reason for the visit and asked if I wanted a full body exam since it had been years since I had seen a dermatologist and I agreed. A few minutes later in walks the doctor, looked at my area I was concerned about, discussed my options and then gave me a full skin exam. Due to many years of Florida sun exposure I have a few areas that needed a tune up. Those procedures were done quickly and then I was scheduled for a skin treatment that had to be approved by the insurance company. I left the office and a few hours later Stephanie called to inform me that the insurance company approved my procedure and what to expect.
Great doctor, staff and experience and very happy with the overall experience.

Dr Kristin Hays halter was great! All of her staff were really friendly and welcoming and I really liked the Dr! She has a new patient with me ! Wait time was about 45mins but they were pretty busy. She apologized for that and seemed extremely genuine. She listened to my problem and explained everything well

Dr. Haushalter was amazing. As a physician myself, I have high standards and she exceeded my expectations. She did the most thorough exam I have ever had and was not rushed at all. Her assistant Cindy was just as friendly and thorough. I will be referring my patients to Dr. Haushalter when they need a dermatologist and I highly recommend her.

She's nice and knowledgeable, but she talks really fast, almost like she doesn't have time to talk to you. There were issues I wanted to discuss, but I didn't get to because I felt so rushed. She also didn't examine my face even though my issue dealt with acne. I definitely got the mediocre, drive-thru doctor experience.

The staff was pleasant and attentive. The Dr. Haushalter was superb at listening, examining, explaining, and she really made me feel good and confident about the diagnosis. In sum, I was very pleased with the overall experience. I would highly recommend the office and doctor.

I am very pleased w/ your office. Your team saw me earlie than my appointment time, I did not have to wait more than ten minutes to see the doctor. The staff and doctors were very friendly and the facility is clean and welcoming. Dr. H was also very knowledgeable and I look forward to my next visit and to working out my adult acne issue.
