About Dr. Claudia Char
Claudia Char, DNP, APRN is a doctorally prepared, board-certified nurse practitioner specialized in dermatology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a second Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida International University, where she served as President of the accelerated BSN Class and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then pursued her MSN degree at FIU, while working as an RN in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant units. Upon graduating as a Nurse Practitioner, Claudia entered the world of dermatology.
She was drawn to the specialty for its perfect balance between complexity and reward—Claudia finds fulfillment in diagnosing intricate skin conditions while seeing the tangible impact of treatment as patients regain confidence in their skin.
While practicing as a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner, Claudia earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, dedicating her research to enhancing acne management in pediatric primary care settings and overcoming barriers to dermatologic care access. She has extensive experience managing skin conditions across all age groups and is also trained in cutaneous surgeries and cosmetic procedures.
A native of Cuba, Claudia is fluent in Spanish and can also provide care in Italian, allowing her to serve South Florida’s diverse community. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, attending dermatology conferences, and spending time with her son and fiancé.
