About Laura Smith
Laura Smith's practice is focused on medical dermatology. She is an expert at understanding, diagnosing, and treating disease processes of the skin.
Laura graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a minor in Genetics. She then earned her Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from East Carolina University.
She has volunteered for community skin cancer screenings and spoken to groups about maintaining good skin health, as well as providing knowledge about detecting skin cancers. She is a firm believer in regular skin exams, as skin is our largest organ! Laura provides patients with the education and information needed to better understand their condition and course of treatment.
Laura has been practicing since 2013, beginning in her home state of North Carolina before moving to New York, where she practiced for five years. She and her husband are now happy to be back in North Carolina to stay.

Had a visit with Laura Smith, PA and was very impressed by her bedside manner and how incredibly thorough she was with her examination. She took her time, was generous with describing her findings and also answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend this provider. Very friendly and thorough office staff. Laura Smith, PA-C listened intently to my concerns and was very thorough with my exam. Verbally went over all the spots she found and explained what they were, and if they were a concern or not. Felt very welcomed and appreciated as a patient.
