About Lauren Kolfenbach
I’m a seasoned healthcare professional with over 20 years of experience in family practice. I grew up in Grand Rapids, MI, where I also attended college at Calvin University before pursuing further education at the University of Iowa’s PA school.
After a brief stint at a gastroenterology practice in Chicago, I found my true calling in Denver, where I’ve dedicated myself to providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages and medical needs. My passion lies in fostering connections and building relationships with my patients, while also focusing on preventative care and managing acute and chronic conditions.With particular expertise in women’s and adolescent health, I’m committed to addressing the unique needs of diverse patient populations. I believe in partnering with my patients to optimize their health and well-being for years to come.
Outside of work, my husband and I love exploring new restaurants, cheering on our favorite sports teams, and traveling. However, we get to spend most of our time chasing after our three busy and energetic children!
I look forward to the opportunity to serve you and your family, providing compassionate and personalized care every step of the way.

Three Peaks Family Medicine was founded by, and run by, providers who are dedicated to excellent healthcare and the well-being of their patients, and it shows. Every part of the process has been made easy, and the staff and technicians are great. PA-C Kolfenbach and Dr. McWhorter are both super awesome; they have great bedside manner, communication skill, and medical knowledge combined with wisdom about how to address their patients concerns. I'm very glad I found them!

Lauren, her team and their office was absolutely 10/10! The office was clean and the team friendly and professional. Lauren was so amazing as I was a brand new patient and sometimes that can be challenging to get the PA up to speed on everything. She was patient, kind and understanding. She will now be my primary moving forward and I'm very thankful to have come across her and her team!
