Laurie earned her MSN with dual concentration in FNP and PMHNP from the University of Alabama in May 2025. Ms. Woodward’s academic path also includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from George Washington University (2018) and a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from the University of Alabama (2017), both earned with distinction. Laurie’s nursing career began in labor and delivery at George Washington University Hospital, where she cared for high-acuity patients through every phase of childbirth from 2018 to 2022. Since 2022, Laurie has served as an adult psychiatric nurse at Winchester Medical Center, working with patients facing serious mental health challenges and providing care for those undergoing ECT. During her graduate training, Ms. Woodward completed over 1,000 hours of clinical rotations across the lifespan in primary care, psychiatry, pediatrics, and women’s health. Laurie provided psychopharmacologic and psychotherapeutic care in both rural and underserved communities and developed holistic, evidence-based treatment plans that reflect my commitment to patient-centered care.
