We provide primary quick care medical services for older children, teenagers and adults at a reduced price compared to urgent care clinics. We can also be your long term family doctor for years to come for continuity of care. Our practice also has an emphasis in preventative medicine and treating neck, back and joint pain. We are a small medical office that values quality personal care.
ABOUT DR. HERMANSEN I grew up in Salt Lake City and received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, majoring in biology. I attended medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa and was part of its 100th graduating class in 1998. I completed my rotations working in doctor’s offices and hospitals in Ohio, Colorado, and Utah. I completed my internship in Las Vegas and my residency in family medicine in Mesa, Arizona. I became a Board Certified Family Physician in 2004 and have worked at My Family Doctor solo practice in Draper Utah since 2005.

Dr. Hermansen was very kind and has a great bedside manner. This was my first visit, so I didn’t exactly know what to expect. He listened to my concerns and we were able to come up with a treatment plan that I felt comfortable with and included in the process. Everyone in the office was incredibly welcoming and I’m looking forward to future visits.

I’ve rated this doctor highly in the past. I did used to really like this doctor but after the nightmare with billing I no longer like nor trust this office. They’ve billed my claim wrong twice and are trying to come after me even though they legally cannot. I have tried contacting them several times and they won’t take my calls nor will they call me back. If you care about your health and your money DO NOT BOOK HERE!!

My experience was very different from doctors that I've seen in the past. Doctors I've been to have these big expensive buildings and offices. Big waiting rooms and a huge reception desk. This place has none of that, instead Dr Layne Hermansen's office and reception area are small and comfortable. This is a totally relaxed place. I was met by Dr Hermansen who was wearing street clothes and held himself professionally. He was very nice and personable and took the time to talk to me and give a thorough physical. I'll definitely go back when needed.

I really appreciated how thorough Dr. Hermansen was. He listened to the description of my symptoms and addressed my concerns. The whole office was very friendly and welcoming. They even went so far as to tell me about a few hiking groups in the area because I just recently moved here. I’m glad that I found these guys!

I explained to the Dr. exactly what was needed for my referral to a specialist. he suggested i get bloodwork requesting a "gelatinizing hormone" blood test. After 35 minutes at labcorp, it was determined no such thing exists. The Dr seemed very disoriented, and disorganized. His staff though nice, were very unhelpful.

The staff is very nice. Not your average office. It's smaller, and the environment is very chill and casual. I was almost put off by how much attention I got compared to a busy office. Not used to doctors actually having time to talk and get to know me haha. Overall, good experience!
