Dr. Kasturi is a phenomenal doctor! I went in for a not so comfortable consultation and she put me to ease right away. She has the best bedside demeanor, gentle, kind and explains everything thoroughly. The rest of her staff including the physicians asst, are all great! The 2 young ladies at the front desk could work on their attention to patient skills and professionalism but i think they pertain more to the actual practice rather than to Dr. Kasturi herself since the attendant that actually did help me was older and very attentive in her ways. I have another appt this week and already have less anxiety about the exam thanks to how great Dr Kasturi was on my first visit :)

Dr. Kasturi is exactly what a doctor should be. I went to her after my PCP told me my abdominal pain was anxiety induced (i.e., all in my head). After thoroughly questioning me on my symptoms, diet, stress, etc., she ordered a slew of tests and sent me on my way, feeling taken care of. Nothing's resolved yet (I just got home from the appointment), but I feel certain we'll find the answer to my issues. She listens carefully, asks lots of questions, and has a very caring bedside manner. I'd love to be able to expect this from all doctors, but the fact is that's not the case. She is excellent at her job.

I thought she was very pleasant but the office in Greenpoint Brooklyn was very very outdated. It was like stepping 40 years in the past.

I did not appreciate the long wait the first time I went to this office. Her assisting staff are horrible about keeping appointments in order and giving good estimates on timing.
Also, they made me go in and pay the co-pay a second time just to get the results from tests (which was: "oh, the results say you are fine.") instead of telling me over the phone - I actually made it a point to ask the nurse if I still needed to come in since I felt fine, and she said I HAD to.
It would had taken 30 seconds for her to do it over the phone, instead of making me go over a second time, wait another 30 minutes, and then only need to speak to the doctor for 1 minute.

Dr. Kasturi, when you get her attention, is kind and pretty thorough. She can be, however, rushed and rather condescending. Her staff is very rushed and some are, I'm sorry to say, less than nice. The worst problem is that I had appointments canceled on me, there is a lack of follow up and in general, very weak customer service.

Great doctor, took time to explain and listen

Been here 3 times now. First time, the wait time was under 15 minutes.
Second time, I came for a colonoscopy. If you are familiar with the procedure, you know you need to basically be deprived of solid food the day before and only have a liquid diet while taking laxatives. Torture. By the time I got to the office I was starving and delirious. They made me wait in this state for 2 hours!!!! My appointment was at 230 and I didn't leave the office until 6! During recovery, she made me wait for an hour even though I was fine to go almost immediately.
Now I'm here for my third and final time. Appointment was scheduled for an hour ago. The office isn't even that busy and I still haven't seen the nurse to check me in. I also had to fast for this procedure. So I'm here again starving and delerious. Never again. Avoid.

This doctor has the best "bed side manner" I have ever experience visiting a doctor in such short notice, she made me feel so comfortable, I will highly recommend her service to any one, her staff is also very well "mannered" and friendly..thanks again for the wonderful service.
