I went a few minutes early and they took me right away. The nurses were very nice, and when I was given antibiotics to drop off, they were able to give me one before I even left to get me started.

There he excelled in both clinical and administrative skills, becoming chief resident in his last year of training. Dr. Pastula brings to CityMD years of experience since finishing his training in 2001. He has demonstrated excellence as an ED physician in both suburban and urban communities, having worked in various emergency departments in New York and New Jersey. He is highly skilled at working with pediatric as well as adult and geriatric patients. Dr. Pastula’s extensive emergency medicine experience combined with his affability and excellent bedside manner make him an invaluable member of the CityMD team.

I'm only saying I would "maybe" recommend this doctor because of the facility. Despite being listed as a Primary Care doctor I was charged an urgent care co-pay, which is double.

Urgent care, so expensive but if you have the right insurance, who cares. It's hard to book and doc that's not a quack in NYC if you don't have one already. Get right in, long hours. Groovy.

Very unsatisfied. My previous primary care provider moved and I booked this appointment with the hopes of finding a new doctor in the area. Found out it was an Urgent Care provider upon arrival. I specifically informed them the visit was to refill my prescription, which I included I informed when making my appointment. They confirmed my appointment but refused to refill my prescription when I arrived. Huge waste of time, wish I was told the week before when I made the appointment and I would not have wasted the time and money.

I broke my foot on New Year's Eve and went in on January 2nd...made the appt on Zoc Doc and went to the office, they took me back to the room within 5 minutes, the doctor was in right away, they took x-rays, put a boot on and had me out the door in less than an hour... truly fabulous. Very competent staff and making an appt with an orthopedic surgeon for me. Great experience, highly recommended.

This location is for urgent/emergency care. They are listed on ZocDoc as primary care physicians which is not correct. I came here for an annual physical and was told they could perform one if I would like, but that I should actually see a PCP and provided a good list of recommended doctors. Seems like a very good alternative to a hospital if your insurance covers you!

37 West 23rd Street is an Urgent Care Facility and this doctor shouldn't be listed as a Primary Care Doctor. Only go for this doctor / facility for an urgent care treatment and make sure your insurance plan covers it (call your insurance company, the receptionists DO NOT know this), otherwise you will end up paying the whole medical bill yourself...like me.

This is an urgent care facility, so in all likelihood you will not be seeing Dr. Pastula, but one of his many doctors. It's refreshing that they can do blood work and urine tests in-house rather than referring you to a Quest Lab, etc. Open seven days a week.
