Patient reviews for Dr. Michael Pollak
Awful. He uses old and outdated equipment, and he is very disorganized. His staff did not communicate with my previous doctors office or the specialist he recommended I see; I had to arrange for documents and results to be sent between the multiple offices. Finally, when attempting to get my prescription that I had for 4+ years, this doctor took over one month to agree to renew my prescription, and even then I had to call his office multiple times to make sure that the prescription was sent to my pharmacy.
This doctor is great and has been so easy to interact with throughout my 3 years as his patient.
Worst appointment I’ve had yet!
This was the worst appointment and recommendation follow up that I’ve ever been treated for in my life. Stay away!
Absolutely terrible. Approach with caution.
Very good, spends good amount of time with a patient
Dr. Pollack is one of the nicest doctors I have ever seen. I was able to make an appointment right away and I only waited a short time to be seen. He was so patient with me and ultimately helped solve my health problem. He even called me into his office late on a Friday to take my vitals. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Pollack if you want the best!
Excellent very helpful
He was a great dr and knew what he was talking about. He immediately helped me and was really into making sure I was going to be healthy! Awesome dr!
Shocked this practice is still an option on ZocDoc
NEVER going back there again. First of all, the entire office looks like it's something out of the 80's. Old equipment. The office is a mess. Papers EVERYWHERE. All over the desk, the shelves, the rooms, etc. Takes you into a creepy back office. Asked me my weight and height instead of actually taking it all. I sat in a chair at his desk and he asked random questions. THAT was my physical. THEN, I'm taken into another room to blow in some old, gross looking machine - hooked up to an EKG - the best/worst part - there were boxes of files labeled "deceased" all over the room. I told him about an issue that I had and his response was, "Well - not sure what that is but here's a prescription for whatever you think it is." Finally, the cherry on top of it all, I schedule this appointment as an annual physical - which is covered by insurance when it's preventative, he submitted my appointment as a treatment for something which isn't covered by insurance. Thankfully in ZocDoc these appointments are recorded at the time of booking with your reasoning for booking the appointment. Not really sure if he purposely trying to commit insurance fraud but given the overall vibe of the office visit - I wouldn't put it past him. Never, ever, going there again. And I'm not even sure how his office is still running.

Doctor Pollak’s team is VERY helpful!! I recently switched to my wife’s health plan but had not received the physical card yet (had relocated so needed insurance card to be resent). At first, I paid the walk-in cost (no insurance) & the team said they would try their best to find my health insurance plan with my wife’s information, while visiting with doctor. Lucky me, with their diligence the staff located my insurance plan & refunded my walk-in cost (no insurance) — they went above & beyond to help me and saved me the headache of needing to file a claim to reimbursed. a THANK YOU!!!
Doctor Michael Pollak is a very genuine & down to earth doctor. He truly listening to your concerns and will make recommendations that is in the best interest of your health!
Great! His office is nice and clean and I never have to wait long at the time I go. I love that Dr. Pollak takes the time to chat with you in his office before going to an exam room to take a look at what is wrong. Kind of old school, he is very to the point and own to business.
Dr Pollack was very nice but his office was old and outdated. They still had hundreds of files everywhere and really old machines for testing. They need to upgrade their medical equipment and file systems.
He is a good doctor. H Experienced and high knowledge. The assistant young woman also assist to check us quick and she knows how to do it faster. Very nice people.
Was seen within 5 minutes of showing up for my appt time. Great!
Dr. Pollack is really knowledgeable and up-to-date on a lot of different medical topics, which gave me a lot of confidence in his diagnosis. Straightforward, not an alarmist, and very easy to talk to. Will definitely be my new primary physician in this area.
First time I ever had a doctor actually take me into his office and discuss why I was there. Every other doctor just starts with the various tests and barely pays attention. Very thorough and excellent bedside manner.
Wait was longer than estimated however Dr. Pollak's bedsite manner was great. Staff was courteous and attentive. Feels like home.
Dr.pollack is a great DR who is very thorough and looks out for the best for his patients
They were able to fit me in during new years eve last minute. I was extremely grateful and his answers kept my mind at peace when dealing with a high fever.
It is always a pleasant experience visiting Dr. Pollak's office. The staff is very kind and empathetic - always asking how I am (and actually meaning it) - and the same can be said about Doctor Pollak. Finding a doctor who actually cares and listens to their patients is hard to find in today's world, which is the reason I am grateful to have found such a wonderful doctor and staff!!
Went in for a way overdue routine physical so I almost forgot what the process was. I was very happy with the overall visit. Dr. Pollak was friendly and professional, the staff was efficient and knowledgeable.
Michael, his brother Joseph, and their team are extremely supportive, welcoming, and truly care about their patients. They are a passionate team and I encourage anyone who needs a doctor to give Them a try. I promise they will take great care of you & actually listen to your health concerns & issues. Finally, a BIG THANK YOU To the team and doctors for fitting me into their schedule on September 8th and waiting on me to find parking after office hours were closed as I had the last time slot. I was very sick with congestion & cough (green/yellow) before traveling to Las Vegas for business convention. They performed a breathing test, looked me over and prescribed me antibiotics -- without them waiting on me to find parking, I would of had a miserable time on my business trip and probably would be even sicker returning -- thankfully, I all better as of today. Thanks team! Josh B
The visit was a waste of my time and money.
Really knowledge, takes his time and great bedside manner.
Once i finally saw the doctor it was a pleasant experience.
Had to get two shots for traveling abroad. Dr. Pollak recommended getting both shots separately, in case I had a reaction to one and to come back for the second one and that I wouldn't have to wait. When I went back for the second time a couple of days later, I didn't have to wait very long but still had to pay a second co-pay. I didn't realize I would have to pay twice for something I could've done in one visit.
Good doctor, helped me with everything
First, I'd like to acknowledge Dr. Pollak's staff. They are always friendly, polite, and helpful. Dr. Pollak is always extremely pleasant, and attentive. I've never had an easier time talking to a doctor about questions, concerns, and recommendations about my health. He never rushes through a visit or disappears during the visit. Always a great experience.
Wasn't knowledgable about my condition (type 1 diabetes) or how to prescribe for it - only needed a prescription and it was messed up
extremely pleased. i was very impressed.
Incredibly thorough, takes good notes. Considers all possibilities and is willing/wanting to hear all of my concerns/symptoms and tells me what is and not related. I'm new in town and Dr. Pollak has quickly become my go-to GP.
Dr. Pollak was great and made my first visit very comfortable. He was up front about everything and very genuine.
Office was old, cramped, and dirty. Seemed to be under construction. One of the exam rooms was filled with boxes of files.
Dr Pollak was, as always, friendly, insightful and wonderfully efficient in diagnosing and solving my issue. he spent as much time as i wanted discussing my symptoms and trying to figure out what the problem was. i HIGHLY RECOMMEND this doctor for his professionalism, knowledge and positive demeanor! thank you!
As always, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Pollak to anyone looking for a primary care physician that knows how to help you spot all types of issues that may creep up. Unlike other doctors, he listens, cares, and in case the situation becomes more complicated, he is more than happy to refer you to a specialist. I have been a patient of Dr. Pollak for 6 years now. He is my first call or visit whenever something big or small happens. He has the perfect combination of a calm and reassuring tone with a firm stance on overall health. Some visits are a quick in and out, and if the situations demands it, i have spent upwards of 45 minutes running through my issues as well (sorry to the patient scheduled behind me). All in all, i cannot say enough good things about the man, and his entire office staff. thank you so much!
I have never had such a pleasant experience at a doctor's office before. He was so professional but so easy to talk to, explained everything in detail without loosing my intrest, and focused on what was good and needed for me. It was such a quick appointment but i never felt rushed or uninformed. A very smart and pleasant doctor. I honestly am going to recommend him to everyone I know. A ten out of ten for everything: office, staff, and doctor.
Dr. Pollack was able to diagnose and treat my asthma in an effective manner.
I went in for an arm injury, he took my weight and said out of nowhere, "hm, you're trying to get that down, right?" He had such certainty in his voice as if I were morbidly obese. I'm 5'10", 205, fit and hit the gym 5x week. I have a pretty muscular build. I responded, "umm, I don't know not really." He even followed up basically saying "you should be. better to do this while you're young . . . " as if it were a foregone conclusion I'm watching my weight. He also referred to me as "overweight" multiple times. Again, I went in for a WRIST injury that had nothing to do with any of this and left feeling worse. I felt really uncomfortable, self-conscious and attacked. Even if I were 400 lbs, the right way to approach would have been a more subtle and much gentler way. Seemed knowledgeable and polite but the cavalier way in which he basically said I was fat was so rude I will never go back and even think twice about going to a doctor for a minor injury again.
The office feels outdated and I had to wait 40 min before I was seen. I don't think I will go back.
Doctor himself: Does not seem to care much for patient's true well being. Quick about diagnosing. Went in for cold symptom but quickly prescribed antibiotics that still did not help Office: Wait time was way longer than the appointment time and staffs do not actively keep you in the loop
DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!! The service was terrible...when you go to the doctors it's common to wait a little past your appointment time to get seen but I waited over an hour. Went in for a physical exam and he did not even take my weight or height.
I was in and out in a breeze. The doctor was awesome and made a personable experience.
Not good about calling back and being able to process requests.
He was very interested in my health and took time during our appointment.
