Dr. Matalon is thorough, easy to understand, listens and works with you on a game plan. He explains things to you.
He was very in depth with things, I felt like someone finally listened.
Dr. Matalon was very thorough and took his time on my initial. Hecreally cares about his patients. I highly recommend him.
The visit was nice and very helpful. I wish the doctor had a receptionist though!
I'm thrilled to have found a great doc
Efficient but personable. A wealth of knowledge without being preachy. Though and listens
Just saw Dr Matalon for the first time yesterday, and I am happy with him. I felt like he was smart, capable, honest, and he listens well. He is easy to talk to, has a lot of experience in his field, and provided me with well thought out feedback.
Nice and easy doctor with great depths of knowledge in his field
Clean, comforting office. Would recommend to a friend.
Very great guy! Made me feel comfortable right away, very easy going and knowledgeable!! Would so recommend !
This is a review of my first appointment with Dr. Matalon. He has been a welcome relief from some other psychiatrists I've seen. He listened to what I had to say without interruption and gave great feedback.
I had a great first office visit with dr. matalon. Despite a little wait time in the office I was much impressed with his practice. Dr. Matalon was quite attentive to what I had to say and showed genuine care to put me on the right track to success.
I've been to more than a few psychiatrists in my lifetime and have never had very good experiences so I was nervous about seeing another doctor. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to see Dr. Matalon. He did seem a little distracted during our appointment, but he listened and thoroughly explained the diagnosis he gave me. He seems very knowledgeable and after explaining he put my mind at ease and even became more personable. I can say Dr. Matalon is the first psychiatrist I've seen that I do mind going back to see again.
I think Leor Matalon was excellent. He was professional yet very helpful when it came to what I needed! I enjoyed the session with him. Look forward to seeing him again.
Was referred to him by my therapist and I like him a lot. Looking forward to continued visits!
Dr. Matalon is great. He is professional yet caring. He took the time to actually get to know me and my history. He was observant regarding non-verbal cues & responded appropriately. He explained medication and treatment goals, etc. clearly & with no judgment. I would highly recommend him and intend to continue seeing him for medication oversight.
Leor was really great – thorough and asked all the right questions. In a relatively short initial session we were able to dig deep and he was able to recommend a treatment plan for me that I can start right away. Really grateful for his help!
Very professional and kind hearted. Asked the right questions and was nice and understanding of my situation.
I think he is very knowledgeable and thorough in listening to the patient and determining what is going on. I am especially glad that he really considered my previous treatments and their effectiveness and was able to come up with new and better options. He doesn't talk down to the patient, and is happy to explain and answer any questions. I think he is excellent.
Good experience especially considering my last psychiatrist wouldn't answer or provide any help whatsoever. We made a plan to figure out what medications are best suited for my condition and then attack any other issues including extreme fatigue and lack of any focus one step at a time
Very knowledgeable in his field. Took the time to get to know my daughter asking the right questions and helping her to feel comfortable to be open.
Dr. Matalon has a very kind demeanor that makes the stress of getting a new doctor much more tolerable. He listened well and seemed to genuinely want to help me get better. He went above and beyond to ensure my previous diagnosis was accurate, which was more than my other doctors had done. He also seemed to know more about the medication I was on than my previous psychiatrist, so I'm on my way to getting my anxiety more under control. 10/10, would recommend to friends and family. :) This sounds like a generic "good doctor" review, but really, I can't stress how nice he was enough.
Dr Matalon seemed very thorough and knowledgeable. He took time to asnwer our questions and gather a complete history.
I was extremely nervous for our first visit, but Dr. Matalon had a very calm voice and demeanor that helped put me at ease. He was very attentive and compassionate making it easy to share.
For a first visit I was greeted promptly, having filled out most of my paperwork on zocdoc was helpful and I liked that it sped up the initial office paperwork. Dr. Matalon was very through in his questioning and diagnosis. I believe he was very accurate in his descriptions of my anxiety issues. We decided (he gave me options) to try a new medication to combat my ongoing anxiety related problems. I'll be back in 2 weeks for a follow up. I really appreciate him not watching the clock making sure all my questions were answered before I left my appointment.
He is an incredibly thorough and professional provider. I highly recommend him.
I came in to his office for the first time. And I found it very disrespectful that he kept grabbing his phone while I was crying my heart out talking about my problems. He also kept yawning over and over. He also said to me if anyone had told me i talk very fast. Like he was bugged that I couldn't stop talking. I am going to be looking for another professional because he was not professional at all. Very disappointed.
The entire process from scheduling the appointment, checking in & the actual appointment itself went very smoothly and better than expected. I felt Dr Matalon was very professional and more thorough than any other psychiatrist that I have seen in the past. I would definitely recommend to others.
Dr. Matalon was one of the most superb psychiatrists I've visited. He cares about the quality of his services and the conditions of his patients. Dr. Matalon spends times with patients, asks poignant questions, and offers detailed patient education. I look forward to future visits. What a first class practitioner.
Very good doctor. Attentive and respectful.
Went awesome! Super nice, and deffintly would recommend him.
I feel like I wasted my time with him. He had no staff or forms when I arrived and made me feel awkward, didn't seem to really be listening to my concerns, just telling me what he "knew"was wrong with me. His phone kept buzzing, he would ck it, then forget what he was talking to me about. I found another Dr that I love! He may be great for some ppl, but definitely not for me.
I had a good experience with Dr. Matalon. He really listened to me and was understanding of my situation. I felt like he was very thorough, asking me plenty of questions to really get a feel for what I needed. Overall, I would definitely recommend him to a friend.
Dr. Matalon was personable and easy to talk with on my son's initial visit with the doctor. Dr. Matalon made an extra effort to gather the information necessary to make appropriate recommendations.
Nice. Still need another visit or two to feel it out but so far so good.
Dr. Matalon is a good doctor. He was well prepared and made me comfortable during the visit. He asked questions and considered things I did not. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a psychiatrist.
Dr. Matalon was very thorough, empathetic, and kind. He was very open to my suggestions regarding my condition, and I left his office feeling far better informed than when I had entered (and I am a scientist with extensive knowledge on these subjects). His modern insight was invaluable, and I feel lucky to have found such a responsive caretaker. My previous physician basically abandoned me when I need help with CA SSD, and it took me a long time to find Dr. Matalon. I am so grateful that I did.
Dr. Metalan is compassionate, kind, and very professional. The difference between him and other doctors I have see is that he is very knowledgeable in his ability to accurately diagnose where others have not. He provided the best prescription for my condition which has vastly improved my quality of life. I had given up on ever finding something that would make a noticeable difference in me and the relationships with the ones I love. It's so hard to find the right doctor and the right medication that works. Dr. Metals did this for me. I highly recommend and appreciate the work of Dr. Metalan.
Dr Leor Matalon is a very professional, open psychiatrist who takes good care of his patients emotional well-being. I was accurately diagnosed by Matalon and his treatments have been doing wonders for me. I would highly recommend this psychiatrist if it is your first time seeing one as that was the case for me and Matalon was very easy going and patient with me.
Vey professional and on point. Extremely knowledgable about current medications as well as well as older meds. Good insight of diagnoses as well as using some techniques to minimize the patients possible and current onset of fatalistic thinking ;-).
He was very attentive and helpful. I really appreciated his input and am definitely going to keep seeing him.
My first few visits to Dr. Matalon were excellent. He listened carefully and was very sympathetic. He made you feel comfortable and at ease. I was excited to be seeing Dr. Matalon. But something changed after the first few visits. He seemed irritable and was not as compassionate and caring as he was before. He rushed my appointments and didn't give me the proper amount of time that I needed. Anyway, if he's in a good mood, I'd recommend him. But, he may switch faces on you. For the most part he is a good doctor.
Took the time that was needed to arrive at a treatment plan. I look forward to seeing my child succeed. Very patient.
Dr. Matalon is excellent! He made me feel comfortable while discussing difficult things and was very polite and I could tell he really wanted to help me.
He was very knowledgeable and thorough. I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Matalon was intelligent, kind, compassionate and honed in on the problem very quickly. The hour spent with him was enlightening and I could tell he wanted to help.
Dr Matalon was caring and interested during our session.
Great Doctor w/ great results
Very pleasant although it's just a first visit
Professional, made me feel at ease and was able to completely inform me about every and any question I had. He's the best psychiatrist I've seen.
Great first visit. Dr. Matalon was very easy to talk to and I felt comfortable during the entire visit. I look forward to our follow up.
He was the first psychiatrist in eight years since I've been seeing one, that actually helps me with not only medication but he also talks to me more like a counselor/therapist. In my past experiences, usually it would just be a quick visit with the psychiatrist, casual talk, and off you go with your prescription(s). "See you later, enjoy your new addiction"! Not with Dr. Matalon. He has proven that he truly cares by helping with my medications. He does not like to prescribe addicting medications, he will when it's absolutely necessar. He makes me finally have optimism that I will one day be happy without any medication at all. He has already helped me cut down very addicting benzodiazepines that was a result of the past doctors in my life. He is finally truly helping me. I'm taking less of the "dangerous" meds and feel happier and more stable than I have in eight years after only five visits so far! More importantly, he is trying to help you for your life in whole, not just 'this month'. I highly recommend him! Seriously, just the best psychiatrist I've seen and I started at age 19, benzo script and all, now 26 and finally getting off of those and feeling better than ever! Plus he was reasonable. He won't just cut you off from something and send you out to withdrawal, he helps you take it nice and easy and at your specific pace. He is very accommodating and fair. I could go on forever! Go see him! HE IS THE BEST!! :-)
Awkward, not professional at all.
Good presence...comfortable..made me feel comfortable
Dr Matalon is a great psychiatrist. He takes his time with you and it's obvious he listens and puts everything together. He explains things well and also explains medications well. He's great! Highly recommended!
We found Dr. Matalon to be very thorough, easy to talk to, patient, knowledgable, and helpful.
Very personable and thorough. Very glad I made the switch to Dr Matalon! Thanks Doc!
My first impression: He is very intelligent. He wrote down his notes (highly preffered because he will remember them) and he asked a lot of questions which helped him figure out what was wrong with me. He's fast, efficient, and caring. I would highly recommend him to anybody.
Really nice. I felt like he listened, really understood, and then gave insightful suggestions.
It was frustrating to show up for an appointment and be told you do not have one... The office staff was not professional. Perhaps one could say it was my own error, but that it happened twice is confirmation enough that it was not my error. Further issues... billing errors and having refund requests (that are due) ignored and then denied. The experience, when one is one's lowest point was simply an added discouragement. Just another kick when you are down. Maybe Dr. Leor is a good doctor, but this was my experience and if you are kinda already "ify" emotionally and you have a similar experience, just don't take it personally.
Dr., has listened to me, and he pointed out my problems. Dr. pointed out my weaknesses, and I agreed with what weaknesses that I had to work on. I feel it's important to stay healthy, so I will improve my lifestyle, learning to manage stress, and I'll setting limits on.
