About Dr. Leslie Park

She is board-certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, and her practice encompasses the entirety of general gastroenterology, including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory diseases, and liver disease. She has a particular interest in colorectal cancer screening and prevention, nutrition, and women's digestive health.
After earning a BA in Political Science and International Relations at Carleton College, she spent a year and a half teaching in South Korea and backpacking throughout Asia. Her experiences traveling were transformative and ultimately led her to pursue a career in medicine. She completed post-baccalaureate studies at Columbia University and spent time working in a clinical laboratory at Bellevue Hospital prior to medical school. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at New York University. After working as an attending hospitalist, she completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, during which she conducted original research on the rising incidence of colorectal cancer in young people.
She is an attending physician at NYU Langone Hospital, where she teaches medical students, residents, and gastroenterology fellows. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
