Hi, my name is Lisandra, and I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner based in New Jersey. I specialize in helping individuals manage a wide range of mental health challenges, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, chronic illness, depression, bipolar disorder, family and relationship issues, stress, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
With 7 years of nursing experience and advanced psychiatric training from Walden University, I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care. I am passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, and together with my colleagues at Lavender Psychiatry, I’m on a mission to create a world where feelings are felt, respected, and cared for.

My style is warm, engaging, and personable. I value forming a strong alliance with each client, and collaborating on all treatment decision-making. I work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and many different walks of life, including students, parents, professionals, trades, service industry, retail, entrepreneurs, creatives and tech experts.
Starting treatment can be a scary and intimidating process, I’ve successfully treated many people who are new to psychiatric care.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Booking process:
Request your appointment time on Zocdoc. My office will email you an online intake form to ensure I’m able to help you.
If we’re a fit, we’ll reach out to confirm an appointment time. I try my best to keep slots available each week for new clients.
Your First Visit:
The initial session is a comprehensive, one-hour evaluation which allows me to understand your current symptoms and difficulties, and learn about important aspects of your past psychiatric, medical, social, educational, and family histories. At the end of the session, we’ll determine the best treatment course. Session frequency ranges from weekly to monthly depending on the type of treatment you’re looking for.
If you’re already seeing a therapist, I’m happy to collaborate with them while guiding the medication aspect of your treatment. However, many of my clients see me for both therapy and medication management.
My practice, Lavender Psychiatry, is founded and fueled by board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioners who create therapeutic journeys that are kind, convenient and transparent so that people can flourish. We have a fantastic team that works together to ensure our clients are well taken care of. This includes our care concierge team who is available 7 days a week between your appointments, to help answer questions and assist with any issues regarding coverage and prescriptions etc. We also have covering providers in case I’m away and an urgent matter arises. I look forward to meeting you and helping you in your journey to a brighter future!

I had a really horrible experience. Firstly, I was unable to see the doctor I originally booked with. I met with Lisandra, and she asked me a list of questions. She called me the wrong name multiple times through the entire appointment. After wasting 45 minutes of my time, she told me she was unable to fill my scripts or assist me at all based on one of my first answers to her question. I was only looking for a medication refill of the same medicine I’ve been on for years as I needed a new doctor since moving. Her communication was unclear and I don’t think she genuinely listened to a single thing I said. She wasted my time, and I’m not sure why she works in this profession if she is unwilling to help people. Would not recommend as I felt very discouraged and have to completely start from scratch after this appointment.
