About Dr. Louis Gilbert
Dr. Louis J. Gilbert is a board-certified family medicine physician who resides in Houston, TX. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, a Master of Medical Sciences and a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX. Dr. Gilbert completed residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where he served as Chief Resident. While at Baylor College of Medicine, he earned the prestigious "Ida and Taylor Pickett Award" for excellence in leadership and service to his community and colleagues. As a result of his proven leadership and promise as a future executive, Baylor College of Medicine selected him to take part in Rice University’s Executive Education Program for Physician Leaders whereby he earned a certificate in Executive Management from the Jones Graduate School of Business.
Dr. Gilbert is an active member of the Harris County Medical Society and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians where he has served on the Commission of Public Health, Clinical Affairs, and Research as well as the Commission on Legislative and Public Affairs.

I would describe the experience as GREAT. Dr. Gilbert sat and listened to me, and I appreciated that. The office was immaculate, and the staff was friendly. Everything was in one place, and I didn't have to go to another location for lab work. All was well.

Overall, it was a good experience. The doctor was very knowledgeable, took his time to answer all of my questions, and was very attentive.
The staff was friendly once they realized I was there. The frosted glass makes it difficult to see through. Likewise, I had to call the office a few times as the ZocDoc appointment time was not accurate and my information was not received. Upon follow-up, the attention was much better!

Dr. Gilbert was very friendly and welcoming. His communication was clear and he listerned and ask the question in regards to my visit. I did not feel rushed, and he explained everything in detail. The office staff was very friendly and welcoming as well. I would recommend them to anyone

I booked with this provider because he was recommended by my insurance and he had reviews stating he really listens. My total appointment with him was maybe 10 minutes. I was there for chest pain that other providers have not taken as serious as I’d like. While he did refer me to a cardiologist, the provider was out of network for me and no one ever followed up to tell me. I called the cardiologist office after days of hearing nothing and they said they reached out to Dr. Gilbert’s office but no one called me. I ended up finding another cardiologist. I was shocked that he didn’t listen to my breathing to check anything with my lungs, no listening to my heart. Very little probing questions, just a referral to the cardiologist. Not a bad doctor, but I was just really expected more since chest pain can be very serious.
