Dr. Lucia Zamorano is a Clinical Professor of Neurological Surgery at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and a globally recognized pioneer in minimally invasive neurosurgery. She was the first surgeon in the United States to perform a robotic brain surgery and introduced computer-assisted surgery, intra-operative MRI, and Gamma Knife radiosurgery to Michigan. With more than 600 published papers and decades of clinical innovation, Dr. Zamorano specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, endoscopic and robotic spine procedures, brain tumors, and complex spinal conditions. She is the current Chair of the Board for the American Academy of Neurological and Orthopaedic Surgeons.
