About Dr. Luke Kim
Dr. Luke Kim is a board certified otolaryngologist who specializes in the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment of diseases of the ear, nose, and throat. Dr. Kim graduated with honors and with distinction from Cornell University and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where he apprenticed with some of the pioneers of the specialty.
Dr. Kim has special interests in medical and surgical interventions for the sinuses and the nose, sleep apnea, salivary gland disorders, parathyroid and thyroid disease, ear disorders, and voice and swallowing problems.

i’ve had swollen tonsils for the past year and have seen him a few times because of them i’ve had tonsillitis over 7 times in that year and he said i’m “not the type of person who needs my tonsils removed” always seemed like he wanted to rush me out without really looking at why i keep getting tonsillitis

Dr. Kim is pleasant and professional. However, he prescribed medication without offering much in regard to potential causes or expected duration of symptoms. My questions almost exclusively drove the conversation rather than joint exploration of factors which could be related to the medical concern. The problem with one way communication is the patient doesn’t know what they don’t know and it is disconcerting as a patient to have almost no affirmative engagement from the medical professional.

I would not recommend Dr. Luke Kim, as he seems to be in it for the quick money. I was seen for about 5 mins, and all he did was prescribe Flonase to me EVEN after telling him I've been using it. And worst of all, neither he nor his office staff explained costs and if I knew he would do extra procedures which are exorbitant, I would not have accepted. I would hope for some more honesty from him in the future, but it seemed like he wanted to do a quick cash grab and get rid of me.

I was given an appointment quickly. Other ENT's weren't able to see me for several months. I appreciate that my symptoms were addressed quickly since they were worrying me. The office environment, staff, and Dr. Kim were professional and courteous.

He was nice but did not take care of what I explained. Dr Kim just simply looked at my ear with simple otoscope and told me my ears are fine however I had really sharp pain and still my ears hurt. hopefully US can improve its clinicians.
