About Dr. Madhavi Devaraju
Dr. Deveraju is a Board Certified Family Physician who has practiced in the Atlanta area for the last 10 years. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Guntur Medical College and completed her Residency in Family Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine in 2006. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and Georgia Academy of Family Physicians.
She believes in preventive care and health maintenance for the elderly, adults, and females, and enjoys taking care of children of all age groups.

I felt very uncomfortable at this office. I come in to the waiting room with zero patients and no one being seen, and it took me an hour to get seen. When I am taken by the triage nurse, she keeps staring at me and laughing and trying to laugh under her breath, but it was very obvious, especially when I was getting on and off the scale, which made me feel insecure. when we went to the room, the triage nurse began to ask me a lot of questions all of which my responses that were very basic, she did not understand and she continued to laugh under her breath. The girl seems maybe 12 years old and I also work in the medical field, so I was mind blown at that point the doctor validated, I was feeling and I had to go see an additional Doctor Who told me that I was valid. I did have a massive lump on my neck which doctor tried to basically just say that I was wrong. I really didn’t appreciate that. I had to go back to this office a couple of times and save to say I will not be going back.

Visit was unnecessarily long and doctor was not aware that I was coming for my annual physical even though the appointment I scheduled indicated that. I spent most of my time waiting in the exam room for my doctor to see me while she sat in her office doing nothing. I was the only patient she saw that day while another person with a severe allergic reaction was able to be assisted by the nurse practitioner on office in half the time.

I didnt get a chance to see the doctor due to a mix up with insurance but I will say that one on the nurses was very unpleasant. I just needed clarification with my insurance and she appeared agitated when I ask her to speak with the claims agent (on my cell) so I could better understand. It was like I was pulling teeth!. But the other staff were pleasant. I hope she has an inservice on how to control impulses/ customer service when dealing with new patients. From one nurse to another.

The staff was extremely nice, and the provider was ok. I was brought back right away, but waited a bit in the room to actually see the physician. The only thing was they really pushed me to schedule a complete physical, with full blood work up, ekg, etc. But they were scheduling several months out. I can't make an appointment 4 months in advance and be sure I'll be able to keep it.
